"Clatsop Cruise Hosts Mission Statement:

 

Clatsop Cruise Hosts, Inc. formerly known as Astoria Cruise Hosts was formed to support cruise-ship-based tourism in Clatsop County, Oregon, and to enhance the local economic benefit derived from cruise ship visits.

 

The Clatsop Cruise Hosts is a non-profit organization dedicated to welcoming cruise ships to our community. Our goal is to educate visitors about our area and encourage passengers and crew to explore, shop, and enjoy the Oregon North Coast.

 

We are a group of volunteers who enjoy meeting people and sharing their love of the area. Each season, we encourage our volunteers to rediscover the history of our region, learn what's new in downtown Astoria, and anticipate what the passengers will enjoy on local excursions. We provide everyone with up-to-date information about the location of restrooms, Wi-Fi access, pharmacies, the US Post Office, and more details.

 

The positive and friendly welcome that passengers receive from the Cruise Hosts and merchants has given us a great reputation.

 

More than 70 Cruise Hosts volunteer regularly. We are easy to spot on cruise ship days in our navy-blue apparel.
