About the Role Join the Clatsop Cruise Host team as our Scheduler of Volunteers (Contracted, Paid) for the exciting 2026 cruise season! You will be the heartbeat of our ship-day operations, bringing energy and organization to recruit, schedule, and support our amazing volunteer hosts. Your efforts will ensure that every visitor receives a warm, welcoming experience in beautiful Astoria!

When: 2026 cruise season; typical ship -day hours run 8:30am - 5:30pm (may vary by arrival)

Reports to: Clatsop Cruise Host Board of Directors.

Build & lead the volunteer team: Recruit, onboard, and train volunteer ambassadors: keep everyone informed and supported.

Own the schedule: Create, publish, and adjust volunteer rosters; communicate updates (including last minute changes) so every ship day is fully covered.

Keep records clean: Maintain accurate contact lists and activity logs; track participation and provide concise updates to the board.

Support logistics: Organize materials and equipment for key locations; manage small inventory.

A friendly, steady presence, and a genuine enthusiasm for community hospitality.

Strong communication and organizational skills; calm under time pressure.

Experience in volunteer coordination or scheduling.

Comfortable with basic digital tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Forms/Sheets)

On-site availability for each ship day; mobile-reachable when volunteers are on duty.
